How was the evidence in these guides verified?
We selected product and relationship records from 51 Intel’s curated market evidence catalogue and rechecked the linked primary sources on 3 November 2026. We publish the supported claim, its product or entity scope and its limitations. Supplementary sources are identified. This review checks documentary support; it is not a security audit or legal certification.
The public guides do not reproduce 51 Intel’s proprietary scores or the Adoption Index’s scoring methodology. They are a selected evidence sample, not a complete export or a live database feed.
How does a 51 Intel record become a public answer?
| Step | Worked example: Anchorage / BlackRock |
|---|---|
| Select the record | 51 Intel’s custody evidence catalogue records BlackRock as a named custody appointment. |
| Check the primary source | The announcement identifies Anchorage Digital Bank N.A. as an additional eligible custodian. |
| Bound the claim | It supports an appointment. It does not establish transferred balances or present usage. |
| Publish the useful answer | Include the relationship, entity, source link and review date together. |

Which sources support a digital asset vendor claim?
| Source | What it can establish | What it does not establish alone |
|---|---|---|
| Product documentation | The features and operating model described by the provider. | Independently tested performance or suitability for a specific buyer. |
| Regulatory records | The status and permissions of a named legal entity within the record’s scope. | Approval of every product or availability in every jurisdiction. |
| Institutional announcements | A named initiative, relationship or deployment as described at that date. | Ongoing use, commercial scale or universal product availability. |
| Customer evidence | A documented experience in a particular setting. | Typical results across all customers. |
The custody guide combines selected 51 Intel records with primary-source checks and supplementary documentation. It does not independently verify licensing, security or deployment performance.
What does “verified” mean, and what remains unknown?
Attribute what the source says.
Link the source beside the claim and state when it was reviewed. Identify a product or entity precisely where the source permits it.
Explain the buying implication.
The buying scenarios and “why consider this model” column are 51’s analysis, rather than provider endorsements or procurement decisions.
Keep uncertainty visible.
“Not disclosed in the reviewed source” means we do not have that evidence. It does not mean a capability is absent.
Name the boundaries.
The custody guide covers five selected offerings across four providers. Inclusion is not a ranking, a certification or a claim of complete market coverage.
Does a partnership announcement prove live institutional adoption?
| Stage | Evidence to look for |
|---|---|
| Announced | A stated intention, partnership or planned launch. |
| Pilot | A bounded experiment or test with a defined scope. |
| Live | Evidence that a service or capability is in production. |
| Scaled | Evidence of sustained deployment, usage or commercial volume. |
No. A partnership announcement establishes the relationship or intention described at that date. Evidence of production use is needed to call a deployment live. An institution may be live in one capability and at an earlier stage in another. Record the capability, jurisdiction and observation date alongside the stage.
These are explanatory labels for reading public claims. For actual scores and capability definitions, consult the 51 Adoption Index.
How should source dates and review dates be read?
“Sources reviewed” records when the linked documentation was checked. It is not the date a product launched or a deployment began. A page’s update date should change when its content or evidence is reviewed, rather than automatically displaying today’s date.
Commercial terms, asset support and availability should be reconfirmed during procurement. The guide preserves unknowns instead of filling them with inferred features or prices.
How can I request a correction?
Send the page URL, the specific claim and a supporting primary source to marc@fiftyone.xyz. A suggested correction provides evidence for review; it does not automatically change the guide.
